New Digs Part I [ Allen, TX Photographer]

New Digs Part I [ Allen, TX Photographer]

As some of you may know….beginning May 14th I will be starting to do photography full time. With this exciting yet scary leap of faith….I have been working on getting a true office and studio put together in our home. This weekend we moved everything out of our previous studio and brought it all to our house. I focused first on putting my office together since we are still waiting on the new floors for the studio. Here’s a look at some of the finishing touches.

Now, some of you may ask, “Isn’t this Pink Fly Photography? Where’s the pink?” Well, I thought long and hard about using pink instead of the red however the fabulous toile fabric covered chairs were actually my late grandmother’s. She could sew anything in the world and she actually reupholstered those chairs herself. They just have too much meaning not to keep them and of course I would not dare cover her handy work. :)

I get a lot of inquiries about my canvas wraps so I thought I’d show them a little more close up. Here are 3 that I did for display in the office. It’s a 16×20 with two 11×14’s on either side. This set would go great over a bed, couch, dresser, etc. The two 11×14’s were wrapped with a black border while the 16×20 has the actual image wrapped around. They are my favorite and just give such a clean look.

Stay tuned for Part II of the new digs…..the studio!!
